• Gate Mode: Introduces a fixed percentage of muted notes for all incoming notes. Includes features such as Gate On Repeats (passes through unmuted note, then X extra unmuted notes) and Gate Off Repeats (does not pass through gate, mutes upcoming X notes) to enhance interest.
• Note Mode: Assigns a unique probability of muting incoming notes based on each note in the scale (C, C#, D, etc.).
• Sequencer Mode: Varies the muting probability every eight notes. Allows for adjustment of sequence length to less than eight.
• Thru Mode: Allows all incoming notes to pass through without muting, recommended for specific use cases.

When utilized as an AUv3 MIDI effect within a compatible host like Audiobus or AUM, midiGATEs seamlessly configures itself and starts operating. For those seeking to use it autonomously without an Audio Unit host, toggling the CoreMIDI input and output enables standalone functionality.
